June 26 - July 2: Goodbye Mayday Hospital!

It was an emotional rollercoaster of a week. Monday evening we had a bbq, luke and Bel and Mark Hale, joined us for Australia v Italy..... what can i say - we were robbed!!!!! It was a shame to go out that way.

Tuesday night was our mixed grand final. To cut a long story short we lost by 4. It was a fabulous game, hard work but fair. I can safely say the only reason we lost was because of their 6'8 shooter who could stand with his arms in the air and we didn't have a chance of intercepting it in the circle......we consoled each other at the red lion and pineapple across the road from the courts.

On Wednesday i had a sleep over with 3 of the girls from my ward at work. Lisa (OT), Louisa (OT), Vicki (PT) and myself. Lisa has a beautiful rooftop terrace apartment, so we climed up the ladder onto the roof and had a bbq up there. It was very delicious. We put on pj's (i had to borrow some of Lisa, and ended up in a night dress that looks like a mumu) and went to sleep. In answer to the many questions that we had we did not have a pillow fight!! :)

On Friday, I went out with some peeps from work to a cocktail bar and then a pub called the Goat. It was a really nice way to finish my time at Mayday, i made some good friends i think :)

Duncan went and had dinner and Gordo and Mark's new pad, just around the corner from us. It is a lovely little two bed apartment upstairs, their friends arrive at the end of this month, and they are going to stay with them, so everything has worked out very well for them.

Saturday England v Portugal..... c'mon Portugal, i can't say that i am unhappy with the result, as they say misery loves company. We watched the game at Geezers sports club again, as it was no where near as packed as any of the other places. Finished the evening with a bbq.

We had a quiet Sunday, we went and had a late lunch/early dinner bbq with mark and gordon and their downstairs neighbours. They have lived very interesting lives, and now he is trying to design an airship, as a quicker and more efficient way of transporting cargo (particularly grain and rice) instead of normal ships.

Ciao now!
